SCHOOL WORKSHOPS

Black History Month

"I have a dream"

This workshop explores the African- American civil rights movement of the 50’s and 60’s. Why the movement happened, life for African-Americans before the movement, key events and the great men and women of the time that inspired change. Using drama, movement and music, children will be transported back to a time where not everyone was equal. They will become a part of the momentous events of that era, experience the conditions and rules black people had to abide by and look at the lives of the people who ignited a movement that changed the world we live in for the better.
