The Suffragettes

Deeds not Words

Join us as we travel back in time to explore the story of the fight for Women's suffrage. Here your students will experience the emotions of a different time. Where younger students will meet characters from the movement and become a part of their protest, older students will step into their shoes creating their own scenes and characters with props and costumes guaranteed to make them feel like they are from the past. Let's celebrate the centenary of the Representation of the People Act and remember why it meant so much.

"It was very relevant to the subject and several children fed back about things they had learnt. Several children said it made them think about how the people felt. Facilitators were very well prepared, presented well and all children we engaged throughout. The workshop allowed the children to work together and explore the topic. All children were able to participate regardless of academic levels." - Leiston Primary School, Leiston
